Predictive Analytics Consultant

The Ironside Group has an immediate opening for a Predictive Analytics Consultant. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality consulting services leveraging the SPSS Predictive Analytics suite and associated best practices.

The main focus entails assisting clients with development and deployment around Predictive analytics and SPSS implementations. The individual will be expected to work with clients across multiple markets and industries often playing several different roles within a project lifecycle.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality analytics solutions with IBM SPSS technology in areas including but not limited to: Market Basket Analysis, Customer Segmentation, Lifetime Value Analysis, Campaign Analysis, Fraud Detection.
  • Perform hands-on data mining analysis on large volume of data.
  • Assist the client to deploy the analytics solutions into their existing enterprise systems (i.e., BI, database)
  • Collect and analyze business requirements from end users. Assist in the development of work effort estimate, project plans.
  • Design and build prototype solutions based on initial business requirements. Participate and support in delivering results to client through presentations.
  • Integrate technologies and datasets from multiple sources/channels to solve complex business problems.
  • Assist and train clients on various IBM SPSS technologies.
  • Install, Configure, and Administer the IBM SPSS analytics solutions.
  • Contribute to the success of other team members by providing training and knowledge sharing.
  • Continue professional and technical growth through corporate and personnel initiatives.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related quantitative field.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience with Business Intelligence technology (report development and metadata design).
  • Proficiency in SQL query programming.
  • Familiarity with statistical modeling and best practices.
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and highly self-motivated.
  • Regional travel is required.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in data mining, statistical data analysis or advanced analytics.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and statistical packages (SAS, SPSS, R, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of IBM SPSS software products is a major plus.
  • Experience with text analytics is a major plus
